For this month's NHJS meeting, members are creating and collecting dog and cat toys to donate to local animal shelters.
Mrs. Clarke's 3rd graders learned about Henry Ford and the assembly line today as they prepare for the Greenfield Village field trip next week. Students tried out their own assembly lines and made paper airplanes!

Tonight was session one of young 5s and kindergarten round up at DES and we had a great time meeting the newest members of our Viking team!
Mrs. Carek's Y5 friends noticed that our announcements screen only represented the male Viking. They signed a petition requesting both a boy & girl Viking be represented. We were able to show them their part in taking action by sharing the updated announcement screen with them.

DMS hosted the 2024 National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony tonight.
We are so proud of the 44 seventh and eighth grade students who demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Citizenship, and Character, gaining them entry into this select group!
We have two awesome groups at work after school today: Girls on the Run and Girl Scouts
