As a safety precaution, MSP urges schools to communicate with students about handling such situations appropriately.
Parents and guardians, It is important to remind your students that if they encounter threatening social media content, they should report it immediately to a parent or through the State of Michigan’s OK2SAY tip line. Students should also be informed that reposting or sharing such content is not helpful and should be avoided, as it may contribute to unnecessary panic.
