It was a great day at DMS! Although, its always a great day to be a Viking!

Today was the 5th day of 5th grade for these Vikings!📸

First week of school in the books. Team building activities for the first week in 7th grade Math. Kids had a blast!

A huge THANK YOU to all of the DMS kiddos that made our first week of the 23-24 school year an amazing one! These students were selected and rewarded for being respectful, good role models, and working hard. Dundee has some pretty amazing kids!💙🤍💙🤍

We're ramping the PBIS program at DMS! Today, Ms. Alvarez, Mr. Ost, and Mrs. Edelbrock met with our 5th and 6th grade students to reinforce the building expectations for all DMS kiddos. We'll be meeting with our 7th and 8th graders tomorrow.
Students that are caught demonstrating the expectations in school will be rewarded with a Viking Voucher. Viking Vouchers will be a ticket to many giveaways this year, as well as a requirement for larger events like our annual Walleye field trip and the spring Mud Hens field trip.

Yesterday was the first day of volleyball practice for our 7th and 8th graders. We're looking forward to a great season!

Olivia and Juliet got our day started today by leading the Pledge of Allegiance for all of our DMS students. Great job, Olivia and Jewels!

We had an amazing first day at DMS! It was great to see so many smiling faces back in the building today.
Don't forget- we do this again tomorrow!😁

We had such a great time at open house and our Back to School Bash tonight! Thanks to everyone that joined us.
We'll see everyone again on Monday!💙🤍💙🤍

Kicking off school the right way with a middle school back to school bash! It's good to be a Viking!

HEADS UP!
Dundee Community Schools is excited to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students starting this new school year thanks to the Michigan Healthy School Meals Program! Even though meals will be provided for free, it's important for families to continue sharing household income information in order for our schools to receive full access to federal and state funding for educational programs that our students are entitled to. Keep an eye out for more information and steps you can take during school registration.

Yesterday, Dundee had the privilege of showcasing 7 of our awesome vocalists at MSVMA’s Summer conference. Mrs. Sinclair invited members of Dundee Descants to participate in her presentation “Treble Causing You Trouble?” All 7 students sang for educators from around the state as a learning opportunity for people to understand the treble voice more.
Congratulations:
Alyssa Stump, 12th Grade
Maddie Lester-Jenkins, 12th Grade
Mia Kuzala, 11th Grade
Livi Schramm, 11th Grade
Finn Taylor, 11th Grade
Alexis Pollock, 11th Grade
Nevaeh Stacey, 11th Grade

We are forced to cancel Bus 16 (Miss Michaelle) and Bus 26 (Miss Rebecca) am and pm runs on Monday, May 22nd. Students that ride Bus 16 and 26 will need to secure transportation to and from school. We apologize for the inconvenience this places on our families.

Good morning,
Due to a last minute driver shortage, we unfortunately need to modify our bus plan for today, Tuesday, May 9th.
Bus 25 will not be completing its normal route. If you have a child that rides bus 25, a bus will be leaving school to pick them up at 8:30 am. This is for all elementary school, middle school, and high school students. If you are able, please plan on transporting your child to school today if they ride bus 25, but if that is not possible, you can expect a bus to pick them up shortly after 8:30 am.
We apologize for the last minute change.

Members of the Hot Rods Motorcycle Awareness and Suicide Prevention Foundation group joined us at the Board of Education meeting tonight to explain their mission to our Board and community. The group donated two benches to our district; one that is located under the middle school canopy and one that is in the high school entry way.
Thank you, Hot Rods!

Planning to attend our Board of Education meeting tonight? This is the first month that our meetings are shifting to the high school media center.
Please park in the south high school parking lot (the front of the building) and enter through door Z. This door is towards the east end of the building. The media center is the fourth door on your right after you enter door z.

Viking Nation,
On Thursday, April 27th, our Dundee Middle School and High School Concert Bands traveled to Brighton High School to perform at MSBOA State Band Festival. Both ensembles had an outstanding performance earning them the highest rating of Straight 1's. The High School Concert Band also received A's in every category, resulting in a perfect score. Adjudicators commented that Dundee Bands were the stand-out ensembles at this event. Congratulations to Ms. Yettaw and to all of our hard-working Middle School and High School band students! Go Vikings!
