HEADS UP! Dundee Community Schools is excited to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students starting this new school year thanks to the Michigan Healthy School Meals Program! Even though meals will be provided for free, it's important for families to continue sharing household income information in order for our schools to receive full access to federal and state funding for educational programs that our students are entitled to. Keep an eye out for more information and steps you can take during school registration.

We are forced to cancel Bus 16 (Miss Michaelle) and Bus 26 (Miss Rebecca) am and pm runs on Monday, May 22nd. Students that ride Bus 16 and 26 will need to secure transportation to and from school. We apologize for the inconvenience this places on our families.

Good morning, Due to a last minute driver shortage, we unfortunately need to modify our bus plan for today, Tuesday, May 9th. Bus 25 will not be completing its normal route. If you have a child that rides bus 25, a bus will be leaving school to pick them up at 8:30 am. This is for all elementary school, middle school, and high school students. If you are able, please plan on transporting your child to school today if they ride bus 25, but if that is not possible, you can expect a bus to pick them up shortly after 8:30 am. We apologize for the last minute change.

Planning to attend our Board of Education meeting tonight? This is the first month that our meetings are shifting to the high school media center. Please park in the south high school parking lot (the front of the building) and enter through door Z. This door is towards the east end of the building. The media center is the fourth door on your right after you enter door z.

Attention Viking Nation: We would like to announce that starting with our May 8th meeting, all regularly scheduled Board of Education meetings will be held in the high school media center. Community members can park in the high school's southeast parking lot and enter the building through the set of doors labeled 'Z'. All meetings start at 5:30 pm unless otherwise posted. If you see an ambulance at the elementary school/middle school this morning, please know that everything is okay. We have been in contact with the family of a student that experienced a medical emergency. The students are in a soft lockdown until the student is safely transported from the building.

Dundee Community Schools will be closed on Friday, March 10th due to inclement weather.

DCS was recently awarded a grant through the State of Michigan to perform a security assessment of all four buildings in our district. We are partnering with the school safety planning experts at American Threat Assessment & Protection to conduct these assessments. As part of this process, we are looking for volunteers to serve on a safety focus team. This group will meet before the safety assessment begins, participating in a guided discussion on the strengths and challenges of school safety planning at DCS. This group may be asked to provide ongoing feedback throughout the assessment process and may meet again following the assessment. We are scheduled for half-days of instruction at DES, DMS, DHS, and Riverside Academy tomorrow, Friday, February 17th. Our schools will dismiss at the following times: Dundee Elementary School - 12:05 p.m. Dundee Middle School - 11:00 a.m. Dundee Community High School - 11:03 a.m. Riverside Academy-Dundee, Michigan - 10:40 a.m. DCS will be closed on Monday, February 20th for Presidents Day.
